http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/5889/index.htm
This webpage is a personal webpage about this man's life and his interests. It is very personal using shorthand writing and pictures of himself. He has his favorites on the page and it's a general page about himself.

http://www.harleymom.com/tiggy.htm
This webpage is another personal webpage. This girl tells about herself and what she likes and doesn't like. It's similar to the first webpage but hers has different colors to represent herself. The colors alone indicate what knd of person along with the pictures she has of herself.

http://www.mandia.com/kelly/portfolio.htm
This webpage is an elementary school teacher's professional portfolio. Her webpage is different from the other two webpages because she has a purpose for her webpage. It doesn't include real personal stuff about her. The format is more formal than the other two. She does not use bright colors, she sticks with basic white to make it look more professional.

I have found while conducting research about film marketing on the internet that there are new trends to media writing to promote movies. One example is a website that is fake. It looks like a regular website but in actuality it promotes a movie and gets more attention about the movie. Web writing for films is a new way to promote films in a cheap yet successful way.

I really don't see a huge change of media writing on the internet. Because the internet is virtually free of regulations the writing on the web is real. There is no censorship on the things people post on the internet. I think because of this the writing for the web can go in any direction.

I agree with Dr. Blackmon's comment that he just wants to see students writing more but I think it's important to teach them basic gramar skills. Although typing in short hand has become very common amongst internet users, it is still important to know gramar skills. When students go out into the real world to look for a job and they put the word "cuz" instead of "because" on their resume' the employers looking at the student's resume' will not be impressed.

I personally have not had a lot of experience with writing for the web. When I was 14 I had a little webpage off of Angelfire.com just about my life and my interests but I only had that for a couple weeks. I find that writing for the web, depending on which sites you visit, is an important part of advertising for that certain website or page. Advertising is key in website and webpages. Whether the audience wants an advertisement or not we are constantly bombarded with them on the internet.
